Morobe is better known for its nambis areas, the lowlands, Markham Valley, Lae and Salamua, than it is for its mountainous areas. Geographically speaking though, there are many mountain ranges that cross through the province, including the Owen Stanley Range. On the flight from Aiyura to Port Morseby we flew through a lot of mountanous regions , and it was an embarrassing surprise to finally make that realization – the realization of the Morobean Mountains.
