Today marks a very significant day for me in more ways than one. If you ever wanted to know a thing or two about me then here’s a good place to start:
  • Born and raised in the jungles on Papua New Guinea (PNG)
  • From the age of 5 – 14  , I would get sick once or twice annually – with malaria of course
  • I like to consider myself as a third-culture kid who lived outside my culture
  • One day while playing softball I had a terrible dinner-fork fracture on my wrist
  • At one time I was the second fastest 400m under 18 athelete in PNG
  • Broke 6 athletics records at my high school – 400m record in two divisions, 4x400m Senior div,Medley in Senior and Intermediate,Hurdles
  • Went on a charitable missions trip to Cambodia to help build an orphanage.
  • At one point in my life, I almost became an aviator.
  • I’ve been living in Canada for 8 years now.
  • I lived on a remote island for a year before moving to the city
  • Banana is my favorite fruit
  • First computer I ever owned was a Gateway 2000 4DX2-66V
  • Runner-up in the ‘Brown Paper Bag’ challenge where we (3 classmates and I) produced  a video on how we created value out of a brown paper bag
  • Worked for an uber nerd who spends his time building robots, hacking the raspberry-pi and many other crazy projects
  • I’ve cycled all over Vancouver island and once rode about 400 km between Revelstroke and Calgary
  • Have friends and family scattered in over 12 countries around the world
  • Married to a beautiful and wonderful lady (even wrote a song about her 😉 )
  • My mother had never left her little jungle, let alone fly in a Boeing jet until she attended my wedding a couple years back
  • Recently took my wife home to PNG
  • Growing up my favorite computer games were Sim City and Command & Conquer
  • My IT and Web consulting company, Livana, is named after my three sisters.
  • Had a small start-up selling classifieds unfortunately that went bust a few years back
  • Growing up, I helped my family do a lot of subsistence farming to help keep us fed through school
  • First dirt bike I owned was a 1985 Honda XL 500
  • Started playing the drums at the age of five
  • Played the snare drum in a marching band
  • Released an album just before graduating from high school
  • My first job in Canada was at Booster Juice
  • My sisters and I had a pet cockatoo growing up
